The first step to conquer this new stage is to learn the language.  Learning is hard specially at an older age but is not impossible.  I understand that money is important to support ourself and in general to make a living.  However, aim to find a type of job that allows you to make money and make the time to go to school to learn the language.  Now with technology, this is becoming more attainable since many classes are online.
